The event will be organized in collaboration with the private sector, specifically with the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia, as a continuation of a well-established partnership developed within the project Partnership for Change in the last 6 years (https://www.partnerstvozaspremembe.si/). The aim of the event is to create an opportunity for open dialogue about the experience of governance and operational functioning of both.

The ground for discussion will be two short surveys (one about the experience of operation and work in the government in crisis period and one about business impacts of crisis period for companies in Slovenia, executed by Kearney) which will enable comparison of experience, lessons learned, and measures for the future-focused on the national level. The survey for government officials will focus on competencies and the functioning of the government systems (personal perception) to get an insight into opportunities for future improvements (what worked and should be kept, what didn’t and should be stopped). An additional aspect to be discussed is a collaboration between public, private, academic, and NGO sector as the catalyst for the creation of holistic solutions for complex future challenges, and the aspect of emotions and behavior on the individual, team, organizational and system level as an important factor for future system design. The discussion will be organized on a high-level with the Minister for public administration and Business Leaders. The surveys will be executed on the national level but the questionnaire will be available to use also to other countries prior to the event. If other countries will express their interest in actively collaborating in this event, the program will be adapted and the discussion will be broadened to the international level.

Who is invited to attend? Public officials and business leaders from many levels will have the opportunity to share opinions, learnings, and aspirations. We want to create an interactive event where different individuals who in daily life play different roles are gathered around a common challenge and share motivation for co-creation of the future of Slovenia. The atmosphere of the event will be characterized as “open, honest, collaborative, and motivated.”
