Following a 1st meeting in Cali, Colombia in 2019, the 2nd meeting of the network of public communicators in the Latin America and the Caribbean region (LAC) is planned to take place online on 17 November 2020, as part of the OECD Government After Shock event.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together a community of practitioners to exchange on means to move towards a more strategic approach for public communication, in support of the open government principles of transparency, integrity, accountability and stakeholder participation. It will serve to validate the findings from the survey responses to the OECD public communication surveys answered by centres of government (CoG) and ministries of health (MH) in LAC countries. It will allow also for an exchange of knowledge and lessons learned on the role of public communication in the response and recovery phases of the COVID-19 crisis.
