Life Disrupted – How the Disruption of COVID-19 Unlocked Innovation

Nov 17, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC+8

The Kaartdijin Innovation Centre is hosting Life Disrupted; a series of activities across the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) in Perth, Western Australia, designed to get employees and the community talking about how the COVID-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for innovative thinking!

Kaartdijin Pop-Up Day

The Kaartdijin Innovation Team are hosting pop-up stalls across the sites between 11:30am – 1:30pm to talk all things innovation and the pandemic. Employees and members of the SMHS community will be invited to share their experiences about the COVID-19 pandemic, talk to Innovation Champions from across the organisation, learn about innovation at the Kaartdijin, and access resources.

People can also see the SMHS COVID-19 Innovators Wall of Fame, a showcase of the employees who have embraced change and brought their innovative ideas to life during the pandemic.

Innovation Skills Workshops

SMHS employees are also invited to take part in workshops across the sites designed to get people thinking and acting innovatively.

The ‘Pitch Like a Shark’ workshop is where participants will learn how to turn an idea to a reality and pitch it with confidence from a real-life Australian ‘Shark Tank’ entrepreneur, Daniel Franco.

During the ‘Dream Big Ideas’ workshop participants will learn some new and fun techniques on how to generate creative ideas with Executive Director Innovation, Jemma Greene, as they attempt to solve a real life SMHS problem.

Event is by invitation only.
