Dialogues Network: Centre for Public Impact/ANZSOG ‘Reimagining Government’ series

May 21, 2020 @ 8:00 am - Aug 13, 2020 @ 5:00 pm UTC+2

The Reimagining Government series, run by the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and the Centre for Public Impact (CPI) involved 7 webinars, covering topics of the enablement paradigm, thinking in systems, putting relationships first, sharing power, leading with humility, reorienting to learning, and where to from here.

The series was based on a view that the existing models of government need reimagining, and to explore a version of government that see its role as enabling citizens and communities rather than controlling them. The series sought to explore these principles more closely, given that politics and governments remain structured in ways that reflect the values and mindset of an industrial era, when the world looked very different from what it does now. Trust in governments across the world has been in decline, as has faith in their ability to solve complex 21st-century challenges such as climate change. The COVID-19 crisis provides an opportunity for change.

Recordings and write-ups of the webinars are available here.

Through the Reimagining Government series, the Centre for Public Impact and ANZSOG are members of the 2020 After Shock Dialogues Network.
