In responding to COVID-19, our everyday normal has gone. Instead, we are operating within a greater ongoing uncertainty and flux. Navigating this uncertainty requires the ability to adapt, slow down and make sense of what is showing up, in real time. Sense-making practices are essential to enacting these shifts, enabling us to see patterns, hold multiple, divergent perspectives, navigate complexity, and work in participatory ways with colleagues and partners.
How, as a designer, we probe, sense and respond more intuitively to what is showing up requires us to activate our sense-making muscles and mindsets. This session will start with an embodied learning experience, where we will guide you through activities and tools to cultivate sense-making rituals in your organisation and end with some takeaway principles. We will be asking what to do in the here and now, and how to cultivate and deepen a reflective practice within your teams and organisation ongoing? Come be inspired and provoked. This session will coach participants through the frameworks to facilitate sense-making and learning inside their organisations.
